Highgate Land and Development was instructed by Essex Street (Properties) Ltd to undertake a Financial Viability Assessment (FVA) of their proposals for a landmark development in Birmingham City Centre, on the corner of Essex Street and Bristol Street. The FVA supported the full planning application proposals which were to provide 154 apartment dwellings for market sale within a 28-storey tower.

Our advice led to a significantly reduced level of affordable housing provision on site, as well as providing the developer with sufficient evidence to negotiate a reduced level of planning contributions on the site.
